Strengthening Relationships with Dietitians to Grow Blueberries’ Demand

Share

Every other year, the Blueberry Council sponsors the Food and Nutrition Conference & Expo (FNCEⓇ) to make these important connections and share all the latest buzz about blueberry health research, nutrition information, versatility, taste, and convenience.

To further amplify the success of previous years, the Blueberry Council will create memorable touchpoints, to build and nurture relationships with registered dietitians (RDs), and educational experiences, to communicate findings from the blueberry nutrition research pipeline during the three-day conference, October 20-23, in Washington D.C.

This year, the Blueberry Council will co-host an intimate VIP exercise and networking event with belVita Breakfast Biscuits to engage with key media RDs. Attendees will participate in a 45-minute exercise class, followed by a light breakfast with a discussion by USHBC researcher, Dr. Jason Brandenburg (from the University of Fraser Valley – Canada). Dr. Brandenburg will give attendees a brief overview of his research in progress that examines blueberry intake and its effects on exercise performance.

Building on the success of 2017 booth activity, the USHBC will run the “Best Blueberry Shot” contest. The contest will run for two fill days at FNCEⓇ, where attendees can stop by the booth to snag a delicious blueberry recipe sample or a handful of blueberries and photo props to style and shoot in our “Bluetiful” lightbox.

Stay tuned for the event recap coming later this fall!
