Food safety is a shared priority across the blueberry industry. This resource center provides growers, handlers and industry partners with easy access to tools, guidance and educational materials on key food safety topics, including agricultural water, sanitation, worker hygiene, traceability, audits and regulations.

Pesticides

Bryant Christie Regulatory Intelligence (fee/ subscription based)

This service builds and provides databases for MRLs for various products around the world.

Access Service

USDA regularly tests domestic and imported foods for pesticide residues, and provides an annual report summarizing findings. In 2021 fresh and frozen blueberries were targeted for sampling (see Appendices H and J in the 2021 report link)

USDA AMS Pesticide Data Program

FDA reports on their own sampling of a variety of foods including, in 2021, 13 imported and 3 domestic samples of ‘blueberry fruit/juice’ (appendices B and C)

FDA Pesticide Residue Monitoring Program Reports and Data

PERC is the Pesticide Educational Resources Collaborative, a 5-year cooperative agreement between the EPA’s Office of Pesticide Programs and University of California Davis Division of Continuing and Professional Education, in collaboration with Oregon State University. The website, not specific to blueberries, includes educational resources including those related to certification.
